Paddles up: Arnprior’s annual Dragon Boat Festival returns Saturday, July 18, at the Arnprior Marina on Marina Way, with the day getting underway at 9:00 a.m.
Teams compete in Community and Women’s divisions, and registration details are at Arnprior.ca/DragonBoat. Not paddling? The Town bills the day as racing plus entertainment, food, and sun — the shoreline is the best free seat in the Valley.
Dragon boat racing pairs serious athleticism with serious community spirit: a boat full of paddlers, a drummer setting the pace, and a start line that’s worth the trip to the water all by itself.
