Arnprior heads to the polls on Monday, October 26, 2026, to elect a mayor and council for the 2026–2030 term, along with school board trustees for the Renfrew County District School Board, the Renfrew County Catholic District School Board, and the French-language boards.
The Town is encouraging residents to confirm they’re on the voters list ahead of election day — you can check through the Town of Arnprior website. Information for candidates is also posted there.
One procedural note from council: the inaugural meeting of the new council has been moved up a week, to November 16, 2026.
Why it matters: this council will set four years of budgets, decide how Arnprior grows as Ottawa buyers keep moving west, and steer major infrastructure spending. The Prior will publish candidate profiles and cover all-candidates meetings throughout the campaign.
