Arnprior’s summer soundtrack is back. Concerts in the Park, presented by Ontario Power Generation, runs on ten Sundays from June 7 through August 16, with free performances from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. showcasing Eastern Ontario talent.
There’s a twist this year: the series is normally hosted at Robert Simpson Park’s Gazebo Stage, but with the park undergoing renovation, performances are split between two locations — including Hydro Park on 2nd Avenue. Check Arnprior.ca/Concerts for each week’s venue and lineup.
The performer list leans delightfully local — including the SALC Brass Ensemble+, a group of retired Arnprior seniors whose repertoire runs from Duke Ellington and Count Basie through the Beatles to Lady Gaga.
Upcoming dates include July 19 and July 26. Bring a lawn chair; the price is right.
